Happy Thanksgiving everybody!!!
I’m up in Maine visiting my big hick family and it’s fucking fantastic. We’re having our dinner tomorrow night because we’re waiting for my aunt LuAnn, but today was nice. Hopefully tomorrow we can go for a drive into Bangor and do some more shopping!

There’s an old style diner and market across the street from my apartment, and just recently the summer help had quit and they were looking for replacements. I got the job pretty quickly but it’s proving to be a bit much.
I run the register, keep the market stocked, keep the coffee containers full and machines running, often come in to open at six am, wait on and bus the tables in the diner any time someone walks in, and keep the kitchens updated on what we need in the hot-tray thing that I serve food from. The woman training me is usually there in the mornings to help me remember everything and get prepared for the day, but she leaves around nine or ten when the boss comes in. And he
is
an
ass.
I should have expected it. Every time I told someone where I’d been hired I got “oh god you work for Gary? That sucks.”
Ah whatever. I can handle assholes. And I’m getting paid, so there’s that.
Buuuuuuut as for tonight, I don’t have work again ‘till later this week, and I’d like to get some sleep. Goodnight everyone!
